title : Manhattan Fish
 Recently i've started my job at Manhattan's, but i haven't posted up anything about it yet, okay seriously its quite weird to post this while listening to Kim- Eminem. Okay, anyway about my job, so far its been okay la, i'm walking around wearing reindeer antlers serving food and drinks, seating people, cleaning up all that. Haven't formally taken orders yet, should be tomorrow la. To be honest i think the best part is cleaning up after people, cos like, haha no one can disturb you while you're cleaning up and there's less stress. Especially yesterday, the place was FREAKING crowded until there was a queue outside and all of us were dashing around like mad, Pearl was damn stressed and according to Melissa she's pretty bossy and hot tempered when she's stressed.But personally i find it more fun when the place is super crowded cos time passes super fast and you're always busy with stuff, its pretty fun i suppose(: Wah but cleaning up before closing is terrible, i like sanitizing the tables la cos the spray spray thing very shiok plus i raced peiling to sanitize the tables in one row hahah and mopping also not bad cos.... i don't know heh, but sweeping, HELL I CAN'T SWEEP IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. so far my shifts have all been closing shifts but tomorrow is opening shift so we'll see how that goes, i don't think it'll be as tiring. sweeping is damn sian cos needa move all the tables around cos Xavier is pretty anal about that -.- then needa sweep and sweep and cos my sweeping is so terrible i sweep until back pain hahahah. and the thing about my place is that once the floor is wet, its SUPER slippery, i feel down once only thank god but almost slipped quite alot especially near the runner's station at the back (place where we dump dirty dishes). Okay so here are the colleagues i've worked with so far: Xavier: or Bapak (father) as we call him, he's the manager in charge of this outlet and he's damn anal about stuff, always scolding us about hair, cleanliness what shit yeap. So you can see, once he come only everyone starts brushing up like mad hahahh, oh he even has a camera to check on us when he's away on his laptop, so yeap, that's Xavier for you. Paul: This guy i mistook for Xavier on the first day except he's shorter and tanner and fatter cos he's shorter... does that make sense? well yeah.. anyway, he's nice and funny i suppose, checks things out in the kitchen and he's quite atas too. Pearl: Our other Filipino manager who's currently attached to another outlet. She's crazy high, like she always poke fun at all of us and sings out all the Korean songs playing at our place and all the customers are looking at her like WTH?? she pedos over babies alot too, she took this kid from a customer and carried her all around it was quite...strange hahahh. But when she's stressed, man she's stressed, rushing about everywhere, shoving us to do this and that, but she's pro la i must say, in service and all, after all, she's the manager. Abang Sam: He's our friendly dishwasher, wah his job quite sad la, all our dirty dishes we just dump on him and he just cleans and cleans and cleans and i must say he does it very fast too! Quite old guy, but for some reason all the old people here like a bit childish one hahah. Wei Wei: One of the cooks, not really sure what his name is but that's what everyone calls him so be it hahah. He's short and from China i think, not that bad looking, ah beng kind ah, he's the one every time he dishes out food and i ask him which table, he'll reply and i'll be like WHAT??? cos can't understand what he's saying ahahah not my fault la walao no wonder he's the cook :P there's another cook with him but i'm not sure what his name is. Melissa: My trainer for now, she's plumpish, big-eyed, Malay (and i had no idea she was called Melissa, so weird to have a Malay Melissa O_O) anyway, she's nice and quite funny, down to earth and direct, i mean, she doesn't look like the come from super good background kind la but you can tell she's pretty on about her job so props to that. Oh, and for some reason, when she's talking to you, she loves to whisper, so sometimes i cant hear i'll just laugh and nod and hope it wasn't a question hahah! Maznah: Melissa's sister, she's the pregnant one, from the looks of it maybe 6-7 months? I get quite scared when she's mopping the floor actually especially if i'm there alone then i'll be like NONONO DON'T SLIP MY GOD PLEASE DON'T SLIP IF YOU FALL AND PIAK THERE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!! or when she complain stomach pain, i'm all like OH MY GOD PLEASE PLEASE DON'T GIVE BIRTH NOW SUCK IT BACK IN PLEASE PLEASE. she's the slightly more bitchy of the two, can tell my her face, and well, she bitches alot la. Pei Ling: or meowmeow, either one, she's the ahlian one, short, complete with piercings and brown dyed hair and smokes, and she wears circle lenses. Not that bad looking for an ahlian la, but her voice really gets on my nerves sometimes like what is wrong with you, when she goes jumping up on people and whacking me on the butt and stuff. She goes around clawing and biting people, and she's easily excited over things like reindeer antlers and santa hats. And the kind where if you don't let her do something, then she'll try to act cute to persuade you. and...you just feel like slapping her face and laughing hahah. raced with her to sanitize a bunch of tables, i swear if i get into trouble it'll be her fault one. Summore i damn suay kana a lot of shifts with her -.- Bai Yu: This short guy, new guy also, for some reason i always see him drying the utensils and carrying huge stacks of glasses around. Little boy hairstyle, specs, oh but he brings food, like snacks and stuff so we always kope from him at the back. He's a nice guy, really decent, and he likes his new broom hhahaha cos the new broom damn clean mah, quite chio also. Ming Zhi: This china woman who wants us to teach her english all the time. okay she's not bad la per say, as in she's not a bad person, just the blurblur kind that's super klutz, yeah every group has this kind of person hahah. Maznah likes to bitch about her to her face in Malay, quite bad la, sometimes she really asking for it la, keep knocking down deco and stuff, then troll face at everyone, but i guess she's trying her best? Wei Xiang: Another guy my age, from Changkat, he's big, and now that i think about it, he reminds me of Yao Wei more than JPC, cos JPC is just... incomparable. Speaking of which, Yao Wei got Prom King hahahah da shit he liddat also can ah not bad. And Kelvin Low got gf finally after flirting with so many ang mohs and failing miserably. His gf not bad looking sia, as in, for him la, totally his type, way to go bro! anyway, wei xiang, he jaga island there so didn't really talk to him much but he takes the bus in the lane in front of mine when at the interchange. Nice guy, a bit awkward turtle but otherwise okay, he and me were gluttoning over leftover ice cream yesterday, supposed to be for everyone to share, in the end only me and him were eating it hahah. Auntie Gwen: first time i see her name i'm like wah old auntie so modern name one hahah but she seriously quite cool for someone her age, still can joke around with us summore. Greying hair, specs, actually first time she look at you, really looks like she's judging you up and down one, so hmm i'll stay away from her a bit heh. yup that's the people i work with for now, i think i didn't miss anyone, yeap. Imma try get a photo of me with the reindeer antlers on friday heh (: btw you know isaac? i had this friend named issac teo, like childhood friend, i just realised he looks abit like your friend hahah. but i don't think he's the same person la cos he from Tao Nan. yeaps, wonder if you can text me from Korea, cos i haven't heard from you in so long.. I miss you, can't believe it, so sudden. Miss you girl. |
